About Me
I am a musician living and working in Purley on Thames, Berkshire, England, with experience in many musical styles and organisations.

My main interest is in composition, and this site lists my musical works, all of which are available free. Most of the music has been successfully performed by choirs, schools, churches, groups and solo performers. Recent commissions include two songs for 3-part choirs for the Polish National Forum for Music's "Singing Poland" project. During the 2020 lockdown, I composed 59 church introits, all of which are now available from here and on CPDL.

I am the conductor of Gratis Choir, based in Reading, England. For many years, I was a member of the BBC Symphony Chorus, singing a large and challenging repertoire in many concerts, both in the UK and abroad, and in recording sessions each year. I have also sung with local choral societies and have been the conductor of choirs, choruses and orchestras. I am experienced in playing the piano as an accompanist for soloists on various instruments and for singers. I have also played with local orchestras, both on the piano and on percussion.

I trained as a music teacher, gaining a BEd degree from the University of Oxford in 1976, and have taught piano, music theory and aural work successfully.

I am married and have three children - all now adult, living and working in Reading and Oxford - four grandsons and a granddaughter. My wife taught for many years in a local primary school and the school musicals on this site were all performed successfully by children there.
